Some of your questions may be answered below. For further assistance please use the contact form or call us at 1.877.518.5187.
Do you ship internationally?
Possibly. Please email us your postal code, city and country, as well as the size, quantity and material you’re interested in and we’ll put together pricing for you.
After I upload my photo, I see a red x through my picture and don’t understand why?
Your file is too small for a high quality print, please upload a larger file.
What inks and paper do you use?
We print on Ilford 10mil professional satin photobase paper (acid free) and our Metallic paper is Lexjet Sunset Metallic. Our HP Vivera pigment inks are rated to last an excess of 100 years without fading. (indoors and out of direct sunlight and high humidity). *Note* Keep all prints out of sunlight, high humidity and warm areas. Also, it is a good idea to rotate artwork so that the same light is not cast on the image year after year.
I have existing prints I’d like you to face mount to acrylic, can you do this?
We can do this but have a few requirements that need to be met in order to face-mount customer supplied prints. Here’s what we would need:
1) .25″ bleed on all four sides. For example, if you want a 20×30″ you would need to supply us with a print that is 20.5×30.5″. (.25″ would be trimmed off of all four sides during the mounting process).
2) we need at least 4″ of non print area on either the left or right of the short side. For example, the 20×30″ size would need non-print area (4″ of paper on the 20″ side)
3) we are not responsible for damage to customer supplied prints. The face-mounting process is difficult and prints do get damaged on occasion (air bubbles, spec of dust). We recommend you send 2 prints of ea. so we have a back up in case something happens.
4) Print must be an inkjet print.
5) The paper must be gloss or satin.
How do I care for my prints?
All prints can be wiped with a lint free, slightly damp cloth. Be careful with the acrylic as it can scratch easily. Do not store prints in areas with extreme temperature change such as storage units. *Note* Keep all prints out of sunlight, high humidity and overly warm conditions.
Why won’t my photo upload?
Bumblejax accepts jpeg files only. Save your digital picture as a level 10 JPEG files for best results. Any JPEG artifacts you see in your prints come from the JPEG file coming out of your camera, not from saving them as a level 10 for output purposes. File size should not exceed 12 MB. Please keep in mind that depending on the upload speed of your ISP, it may take up to a minute to upload a high quality photo. We understand that you may have files much larger than 12MB. If this is the case, please call us at 1-877-518-5187 or email us at support@bumblejax.com and we’ll quickly get back to you with our FTP instructions.
Does my mounted print come with hanging hardware?
Yes, all prints are ready to hang on your wall right out of the box! Each print comes with a drywall hook and instructions (no tools necessary). Do not hang prints directly above sleeping areas or where people will be hurt if print falls off of the wall due to earthquake or hanging hardware malfunction. Each drywall hook can hold up to 50+lbs.

Color matching what you have printed off your printer or see on your monitor. We are a “pleasing color” print house. If you need to see color proofs please email for pricing.
What DPI or PPI should my image be for the best looking print?
150 DPI (or 300 ppi) will get you a great looking print. Note, that lighting, file compression and the type of camera can all effect the final outcome of the print. Do not re-save your .jpeg file over and over again, the result will be poor image quality. The Bumblejax engine will analyze the horizontal and vertical pixel counts and determine which sizes will be best suited for the uploaded image. If we find that an image is less then suitable for reproduction, we will be sure to contact you.
Do all orders have to be placed online?
Yes, (except for custom orders) but you may make a payment offline with a check or money order. BumbleJax does not accept any orders by mail. This includes cd’s with files, scanned images, or hard copy prints. All orders must be placed via our website. If paying by check or money order, please note that your order will not ship until the funds have cleared. For custom orders call our toll free number 1-877-518-5187.
I made a mistake and need to cancel my order. Can I?
Possibly. Our systems are highly automated and many orders go into production almost as soon as they are submitted. Once an order is actually in production it is too late to cancel the order, and we cannot guarantee that we will be able to cancel any order.
However, if you still wish to try and cancel your order, send an email to support@bumblejax.com telling us that you wish to cancel your order and please include your order number so we can identify you in our system. Your email will be addressed promptly.
What kind of quality/color guarantee do you have?
We have years of experience in printing, print-design and photography and are very particular about our print quality. In the end, the quality of the print is very much dependent on the file you provide us with. Computer hardware varies substantially – specifically, monitors and CRT displays. It would be impossible for us to claim that the image on your screen will look the same on our screen, let alone our printed reproduction. However, we do utilize color profiling software to generate the most accurate reproductions possible.
Does the bamboo have variations in color?
Yes, bamboo can vary in color. Some panels may be a bit darker or even a bit more reddish in color.
Can I pay with cash or a check?
Absolutely, but we will not begin production until the check or cash has been deposited.
When will I receive my print?
All prints are handmade and completed within 4-6 business days. So, all prints should be received within 7-14 days.
